Simple modern tutorial for this minimalist macrame dreamcatcher! Includes 2 variations!
Supplies:
- Fiber Art Scissors
- Fringe Comb
- Whole Cord Comb
- Measuring Tape
- Rack for Working on Projects & Hanging Finished Projects
- Drywall Hooks and Screws for Installation
Variation 1 (Natural Beige)
Materials:
- 2mm – 3mm String or Rope (Approx. 57ft)
- 8″ Metal Hoop
Top:
↠ Larks Head Knot (10) 68 inch cords onto 8 inch hoop.
↠ Alternate Square Knot into a V-shape.
Bottom:
↠ Clove Hitch Knot (backwards double half-hitch) starting with the center cord.
↠ Continue Clove Hitch knotting outward from the center.
↠ Unravel and trim.
Variation 2 (Black) Timestamp 5:46
Materials:
- 4mm Single Strand String (Approx. 57ft)
- 10″ Metal Hoop
Top:
↠ Larks Head Knot (10) 68 inch cords onto 10 inch hoop.
↠ Alternate Square Knot into a V-shape.
Bottom:
↠ Clove Hitch Knot (backwards double half-hitch) starting with the center cord.
↠ Add a cord with Larks Head Knot between each Clove-Hitch knot.
↠ Continue adding cords and Clove Hitch knotting outward from the center.
↠ Comb and trim into a V-shape
PRO TIP: Keep Clove knotting order from the center out.
